Author’s Guidelines

2018 IEEE International Conference on Rebooting Computing (ICRC)

View the IEEE ICRC 2018 Call for Papers.

Submissions should be original, previously unpublished work not currently under review by other publications. All submissions must be done electronically through a submission service to be posted later.

All Papers: 10 pages maximum (exclusive of bibliography), must be written in English and use standard IEEE two-column conference templates that can be downloaded from http://www.ieee.org/conferences_events/conferences/publishing/templates.html. Only PDF files will be accepted for the review process. Please submit the PDF file at the submission service: http://icrc18.crnch.gatech.edu/submission/.

Please submit a short abstract (up to 250 words) by 7 May 2018. The submission due date for papers is 14 May 2018.

Only accepted papers that have gone through the review process will be published in the 2018 IEEE International Conference on Rebooting Computing (ICRC) proceedings on IEEE Xplore http://ieeexplore.ieee.org.

Poster Submissions: Authors interested in presenting a poster should submit a one-page abstract (in pdf format) by e-mail to Neal Anderson anderson@ecs.umass.edu (ICRC 2018 Poster Chair) on or before 6 September.

Please note that:

  • Abstracts should include the full title, full author list with affiliations, designation of the corresponding author, and contact information for the corresponding author.
  • Only the one page abstract — not a full poster — is required, and only the abstract will be reviewed. Please use 12 pt, Times New Roman font, double-spaced.
  • Authors of papers that were accepted for oral presentation at ICRC 2018 may also submit a poster for consideration, either on the topic of their accepted paper — to facilitate further discussion — or on alternative topics. Authors of papers that were not accepted for oral presentation are welcome to address reviewer feedback and submit their work for consideration as a poster.
  • Notification of decisions on posters will be sent to corresponding authors by e-mail on or before
    20 September.

General Instructions on Paper Review Process

All submitted Papers will be reviewed by a committee and assessed on the basis of originality, significance, technical soundness, and clarity of expression. Accepted authors will be notified starting 8 August 2018, and a final paper in PDF format will be required by 6 September 2018. The review committee may recommend rejection of final papers that do not take account of reviewers’ requirements and expectations in an acceptable manner. The conference chair reserves the right to remove papers from the conference proceedings that do not meet the requirements.

Final submission with IEEE Xplore®-compatible PDFs

All PDFs to be included in IEEE Xplore (e.g. title page, copyright page, author index, etc.) should be validated through PDF eXpress for IEEE Xplore compatibility. The detailed instructions will be provided to the accepted authors accordingly. For further questions on paper submissions, please contact the Publications Chair.

Accepted papers must be presented at the conference by one of the authors. The author of an accepted paper is required to complete paid registration at full (member or non-member) rate for the conference prior to uploading the final IEEE formatted, publication-ready version of the paper. There is no refund for cancellation but substitutions may be made at any time prior to the event. Failure to complete paid speaker registration before the deadline will result in withdrawal of the paper from the conference program and the proceedings. Any paper not presented at the conference will be excluded from the conference proceedings.
