RC Week 2019 was held the week of 4 November at the Marriott Hotel in San Mateo, and included the IEEE Industry Summit on Monday, the IRDS™ Workshop and Outbrief on Monday and Tuesday, the International Conference on Rebooting Computing (ICRC) Wednesday-Friday, and Quantum Workshops on Wednesday and Thursday.

The Industry Summit featured invited talks on Quantum Computing, Artificial Intelligence, and Supercomputing from industry experts. The program is available with embedded videos of most of the sessions and links to the slides of many of the speakers.

The IRDS™ Winter Meeting featured a Workshop with Roadmap staff and an open Outbrief to conference attendees, presenting a preview of the new Roadmap that will be formally released in Spring 2020. View the meeting agenda. An important conclusion is that due to 3D integration, Moore’s Law increases in transistor density are expected to continue for the next decade.

ICRC 2019 featured keynote addresses on Artificial Intelligence and on Quantum Computing, and included sessions on these topics as well as on other novel computing approaches. This concluded with a panel discussion on the Decadal Plan for Semiconductor Research from the Semiconductor Research Corporation. View the complete conference program with an embedded link to the Conference Proceedings. The proceedings are also available at IEEE Xplore. In addition, videos of many of the talks are available at IEEE.tv. The video of the keynote on “Developing our Quantum Future” by Dr. Krista Svore of Microsoft is already available.

The Quantum Workshops were sponsored by the IEEE Quantum Initiative, and included a Quantum Education Summit and a Workshop on Benchmarking Quantum Computational Devices and Systems. View the agenda.
